This expanding zine talks about our relationship with trash and how important simple sustainable systems are for both society and the environment. Composting is a great natural process for disposing of food waste while building healthy soil for farmers and gardeners. Prioritizing composting also removes organic materials and the dangerous methane gases they create from our landfills. This zine walks through the basics of composting to encourage folks to reimagine food waste in their lives and have a healthier sustainable community.  It was beautifully illustrated by Sean Dempsey with myself hand lettering and designing the front panel. The physical design is all one folded page that unfolds again and again mimicking the universal scale of food waste on our planet. It's printed on paper made from 100% recycled fibers and fully compostable when you're done learning!
